A PRAYER REQUEST September 7, 2012
The prayers of our nation are having an effect. The courts upheld a Texas law denying federal funds to abortion providers. We need to see this law adopted nationwide. As the lives of the most innocent among us are saved, the God of heaven will smile upon our country and grant us blessings unnumbered. Let each of us bring our lives more fully in to line with the laws of God so that we may with confidence ask for the blessings of Heaven upon us and our land.
Please mention these items in your daily prayers:
1. The drought conditions look somewhat better this week, however there are still areas of serious drought in the Great Plains, the West and South. Crop damage is high, our prayers are needed if we wish to have adequate food production for our nation and the world. The tropical storms have abated, but there are two growing in the Atlantic which are headed our way. Pray that the elements may be tempered so that our growers may have abundant crops and our food supply be secured. May these storms and drought remind us that we need the blessings of the Lord and cause us to seek His help in every area of our lives.
2. The fire situation in the Northwest has begun to improve. There are less fires visible than last week, but this still needs our prayer attention. Pray that these fires may be brought under control and extinguished. May we, as United States citizens, recognize that we need God’s help in all of our affairs.
3. The first audit of the Federal Reserve has been published by the General Accountability Office of the Federal Government.
For the period between December 2007 and June 2010, 2 ½ years, $16,000,000,000,000.00 (16 trillion dollars) has been secretly given out to US banks and corporations and foreign banks everywhere from France to Scotland. Please pray that Congress will continue to investigate the Federal Reserve with an eye to bringing it under the control of the Treasury Department. For the complete story click on the following link:
4. May the gift of discernment enlighten every voter as the campaigns continue to embody a spirit of fault-finding and rancor. May our voters be enlightened with the spirit of truth enabling them to see through the framework of half-truths and outright lies so prevalent in this election.
Please remember the divine promise given in II Chronicles 7: 14.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
May we each examine our lives so that we may bring them into line with the conditions required for God’s blessing mentioned above.
